Our team is currently looking for an experienced Fleet Technician – 1st Shift to maintain our commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Conducts regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotation, and oil changes.
- Collaborates with the repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
- Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
- Responsible for repairing, modifying, and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment operation by completing all required preventive maintenance requirements.
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
- Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant, including brake maintenance.
- Completes all required daily reporting as required.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
Work Schedule
First Shift Position
- Monday – Saturday
- 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Must be available to work weekends and maintain a consistent first-shift schedule.
Education
- High School Diploma
Experience and Competencies
- 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance.
- Welding and body fabrication experience is a plus.
- Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals).
- Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Prompt, professional, and dependable demeanor.
