Position Summary:
Under general direction from the Senior Catering & Events Manager, The Catering & Events Sales Manager is responsible for selling, planning, and detailing all assigned catering and social events. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies, proactively booking new business, servicing existing accounts, and partnering with hotel operations to ensure flawless event execution and exceptional guest satisfaction. The Catering Sales Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through post event follow up.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat catering business to meet or exceed revenue goals.
• Manage assigned catering leads and accounts, including corporate meetings, social events, weddings, and special
events.
• Respond promptly and professionally to catering inquiries, RFPs, and leads.
• Conduct site inspections, tastings, and client meetings to secure and service events.
• Prepare, detail, and finalize accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in accordance with TMCR standards.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and timely with F&B, EVS, Production, Security, Hotel, and Marketing
teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Maintain complete and accurate sales records, client activity, and forecasts in the sales system.
• Participate in BEO meetings, event & catering meetings, and event walkthroughs as required.
• Cultivate strong relationships with repeat clients, local vendors, and community partners.
• Attend and work events as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Sr. Catering & Events Manager or TMCR executive leadership.
• Following sales targets, identifying market opportunities, and assisting with creating strategies to achieve these
goals.
• Tracking leads, managing opportunities, and ensuring a smooth sales process from initial contact to booking event
execution.
• Address client needs, resolve issues and ensure a positive experience.
• Understand client needs and preferences to improve the catering and event offerings and services.
• Record, notify and coordinate customer specifications with other departments and quickly, efficiently respond to
customer issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects
• Assist in the development and implementation of creative sales strategies.
• Maintain accurate, legible records and files consistent with established automated or manual sales system.
• Participate in training, trade shows, field trips and community, industry and professional organizations to maintain
high visibility in support of the achievement of sales and revenue goals.
• Represent property at various trade shows.
• Working with Events, Catering, Food & Beverage Departments, EVS, Production, and Security to grow group
revenue and customer's day-to day needs are met while identifying viable opportunities for deliberate initiatives designed to improve operational and financial performance.
• Coordinate all group transient and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue.
• Proactively conduct outside sales calls conduct sales tours and entertain clients.
• Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the resort including but not limited to Sales, Food and Beverage, Security, Hotel
• Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations.
• Attend and / or conduct daily / weekly / monthly meetings and any other functions required by management providing training on a rotational basis.
• Maintains professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication relationships to achieve initiatives with respective marketing partner(s) and other internal departments.
• Maintains up to date with industry trends, changes in the market, and new technologies that can improve sales strategy.
• Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings.
• Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans.
• Manage spending and budgets, analyzing financial data, and monitoring sales and profits.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system, STS Cloud.

Signatory Authority: All Catering & Banquet related forms.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field is required, unless waived by Executive Management. Five (5) years of experience in banquet/event sales. Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills required. Will require a deep knowledge in groups + meetings customer procurement strategies and structure, an expertise in account buying behaviors and strong internal training development. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge in groups + meetings customer procurement strategies and structure with expertise in account buying behaviors.
- Extensive knowledge of negotiation and sales associated with the event industry.
- Knowledge of Banquet and Event systems such as Triple Seat, STS, and Cvent.
- Excellent written skills to produce sales and marketing communication that properly reflects the resort’s image
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to perform critical analysis.

Physical Demands:
The employee may be required to stand for prolonged periods, walk; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory and verbal communications skills. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Frequent local or regional travel, using personal vehicle. Periodic domestic travel required. Occasional competitive property visits, industry & other meetings/events.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to cigarette smoke. The work environment is noisy and employee will work indoors and outdoors; work performed in areas which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky and dimly lit, and maneuver outside in temperatures in excess of 115° and as cold as 15° (exposed to all weather conditions).
