Position Summary
Provides data analysis, reporting, visualization, and business process automation support for the Retail Banking Division. Develops dashboards, operational reports, data models, and automated workflows that improve decision-making, efficiency, quality, and control effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities listed below represent the primary duties of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- Partners with Retail Banking leaders and teams to understand reporting needs, operational processes, business rules, performance measures, and opportunities for improvement.
- Integrates data from multiple sources, evaluates data quality and accuracy, and works with appropriate stakeholders to resolve identified issues.
- Writes SQL queries and develops data models, dashboards, operational reports, and visualizations using Sigma and other approved technologies.
- Reviews queries, reports, dashboards, and data models for accuracy, completeness, usability, and alignment with documented requirements before implementation.
- Designs, develops, tests, implements, and maintains low-code business process automations using Microsoft Power Automate and other approved technologies.
- Uses data and reporting outputs to automate Retail Banking activities such as notifications, task assignments, approvals, exception management, reconciliations, escalations, and operational follow-up.
- Builds appropriate controls into automated solutions, including error handling, logging, notifications, access controls, exception procedures, and manual fallback processes.
- Monitors production reports and automations, troubleshoots issues, and coordinates resolution with Retail Banking process owners and technology partners.
- Conducts trend and root-cause analysis and recommends changes that improve Retail Banking performance, efficiency, customer experience, quality, compliance, or controls.
- Develops and executes test plans and coordinates user acceptance testing with Retail Banking teams.
- Maintains documentation and inventories for reports, dashboards, data models, and automations, including requirements, data sources, calculations, testing evidence, approvals, ownership, and change history.
- Provides training and support to Retail Banking users regarding reports, dashboards, data definitions, and automated workflows.
- Protects confidential information and ensures solutions comply with applicable laws, regulations, Bank policies, information security standards, and data governance requirements.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned, provided such duties are within the employee's qualifications and the employee has received appropriate training, guidance, or resources necessary to perform the work safely and effectively.
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve Retail Banking, departmental, and company goals.
Required Qualifications
Experience
A minimum of three years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, operational reporting, business analysis, process improvement, workflow automation, banking operations, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with Sigma, SQL, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Excel, and similar data or automation technologies is preferred. Experience with Retail Banking operations or another regulated industry is also preferred.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
