Cooley is seeking a Marketing Senior Specialist (Europe) to join the Marketing & Client Development team.
Position summary: This role is part of the Business Unit Marketing Team, which acts as the strategic consultant to, and primary bridge between, practice group leadership and the broader Marketing & Client Development organisation. This team translates commercial objectives and competitive insight into marketing and client development plans. The Senior Specialist will ensure the successful implementation of business development and marketing activities of the London Office for the Life Sciences industry, including with the execution of marketing plans, client events and seminars, internal and external communications, production of collateral and pitches and CRM activity. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position responsibilities:
Pitch & Proposal Production: Execute the physical build and high-fidelity formatting of pitches, proposals, and responses to ensure a premium client-facing experience.
CRM & Pipeline Data Stewardship: Serve as the "Power User" for the CRM (Salesforce), ensuring the practice’s sales pipeline and activities are meticulously tracked for reporting.
Credential & Experience Management: Manage the ongoing collection and organisation of practice matter experience and deal sheets within the firm’s central databases.
Market Research Execution: Utilise firm technologies (e.g., Pitchbook, CapitalIQ) to execute dossiers and research reports in support of pitch meetings and partner requests.
Sponsorship Fulfillment Coordination: Manage the tactical delivery of sponsorship requirements, including logo submissions, ad placements, and ticket allocations.
Enabler Coordination for Content: Liaise with Strategy & Enablement to stage practice-specific content on digital channels and ensure SEO metadata is implemented.
BU Event Support: Facilitate logistical support for practice-led events, including managing RSVP data and on-site material requirements.
Performance Data Stewardship: Ensure all BU activity is correctly tagged in the CRM to allow the Insights team to provide accurate optimisation guidance.

Skills and experience:
Required:
After orientation at Cooley (UK) LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications.
Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required.
Ability to travel, as required.
4+ years directly applicable experience (e.g., marketing or business development).
Prior professional services industry experience and/or B2B marketing experience.
Demonstrated ability to exhibit analytical and critical thinking in day-to-day tasks along with the proven ability to operate at an elevated level in terms of scope of responsibility, judgement and autonomy.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate escalating ownership and mastery of assigned area, exhibit strength in the areas below, become a resource and mentor to others and more as they progress in different roles within the department.
Preferred:
Demonstrated industry experience in life sciences.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Prior legal industry or professional services experience.
