Purpose
The Maintenance Coordinator coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and availability. Support production by prioritizing safety first, meeting quality standards, and protecting on-time delivery to customers. Drive manufacturing excellence by improving OEE, executing preventive maintenance, and managing maintenance resources efficiently.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Promote a zero-incident culture and ensure all maintenance tasks follow lockout tagout, PPE, and safety procedures.
- Conduct job hazard analyses and safety audits for maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance using the CMMS.
- Manage work orders, create detailed job plans, assign labor, and track status to completion.
- Coordinate with production to schedule downtime with minimal impact on delivery.
- Maintain and optimize the PM program based on OEM recommendations, failure history, and criticality.
- Expand condition monitoring such as vibration, thermography, oil analysis, and inspections.
- Ensure accurate PM documentation and continuous improvement of PM task lists.
- Track and improve OEE by reducing equipment downtime, minor stops, and speed losses.
- Lead root cause analysis for chronic failures using tools such as 5 Why and fishbone.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness.
- Ensure all work is captured in the CMMS from request to closeout.
- Maintain accurate asset hierarchies, spare parts lists, PM frequencies, and job plans.
- Monitor backlog health, response times, and schedule compliance.
- Manage spare parts inventory, min max levels, and critical spares.
- Collaborate with purchasing to control costs and lead times.
- Ensure proper parts kitting for planned jobs and timely returns to stock.
- Ensure maintenance work meets quality standards and supports process capability.
- Coordinate equipment calibrations and verification of critical control points.
- Minimize rework and defects related to equipment condition.
- Monitor maintenance operational expenses including labor, parts, contractors, and utilities.
- Review repair vs replace decisions to optimize lifecycle costs.
- Identify and execute cost saving initiatives without compromising safety or reliability.
- Coordinate external services and ensure contractor compliance with site safety and quality requirements.
- Validate scope, quotations, and performance. Manage permits and site access.
- Apply 5S, TPM pillars, and standard work in maintenance areas.
- Maintain equipment criticality analysis and reliability centered maintenance practices.
- Lead Kaizen events focused on maintenance process efficiency and sustained results.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and technical documentation.
- Report on key maintenance indicators such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, schedule compliance, PM compliance, backlog, and maintenance cost per unit.
- Communicate daily maintenance status to production and leadership.
- Coordinate skill development for maintenance technicians including safety, troubleshooting, and OEM procedures.
- Facilitate shift handovers, toolbox talks, and lessons learned..

Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as maintenance coordinator in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office necessary and experience with CMMS use and administration.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and OEM manuals.
- Familiar with predictive technologies and reliability tools.
Work Environment
- This role is onsite in a manufacturing facility and requires presence on the production floor.
- May require off shift coverage, weekend work, and on call support as needed.
