From our Suwanee/ Buford (GA) office our team services the North American markets (USA and Canada), what includes engineering/ technical and logistical service to our partners, distributors, and MEP customers, all associated with the Sikla range of products.
JOB DESCRIPTIONThis role is open to US-based candidates with an interest in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, Purchasing, and Business Operations. The Supply Chain Assistant supports the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day execution of supply chain activities, inventory replenishment, logistics coordination, and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring smooth business operations while gaining exposure to all aspects of Sikla USA's supply chain processes.
This position is designed as a development role. Over time, the employee will gradually assume additional responsibilities and independent projects while serving as a reliable backup for the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager during absences, vacations, and periods of increased workload.
DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager with daily supply chain and logistics activities.
- Assist with inventory monitoring, replenishment activities, and stock control processes.
- Prepare, review, and maintain purchase orders, supplier confirmations, and shipping documentation.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, freight carriers, and warehouses.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and ERP system data.
- Monitor delivery schedules and proactively communicate potential delays or supply chain issues.
- Support inventory cycle counts, stock audits, and other stock related activities.
- Prepare reports and analyses related to inventory levels, purchasing activities, supply chain performance, and logistics costs.
- Assist with demand planning and forecasting activities by collecting and analyzing relevant data.
- Maintain and organize supplier records, pricing information, and procurement documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and logistics processes.
- Communicate regularly with Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, Warehouse Operations, and Accounting departments to ensure alignment of business activities.
- Participate in special projects related to supply chain optimization, ERP improvements, and operational efficiency.
- Act as backup for the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager and support critical operational activities during absences.
- Gradually assume ownership of assigned supply chain, procurement, inventory, or logistics responsibilities based on training, experience, and business needs.
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, inventory management, customer service, or administrative support roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to learn ERP systems and supply chain software.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential business information professionally.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain administration.
- Previous hands-on experience working with SAP ERP is required.
- Ability to navigate and perform daily transactions within SAP related to purchasing, inventory management, replenishment, logistics, and reporting functions.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Interest in long-term career development within Supply Chain Management.
- Full-Time Employment: Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (including a 1-hour lunch break).
- Locations: Suwanee 30024, Georgia; (starting Q1 2027: Buford 30519, Georgia).
- Work Authorization: Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.
