Collins aerospace is looking to hire Supplier Quality & Development Professional to join the Collins Global Supplier Quality Tiger Team. The successful candidate will be responsible to Manage Supplier Quality & Development processes and / or projects as an individual contributor. Works to achieve objectives that have a major impact on the organization goals. Uses expertise to provide input on supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes. Manages supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material. Manages/Supports supplier onboarding and qualification/certification. Manages source inspection and material release processes. Performs Escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials.

Proactively supports the RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability. Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier specific quality initiative strategies, addressing them with key proactive quality tools (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), as well as driving their implementation. Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance and Work Transfer implementation.

What Will You Do

• Accountable to ensure Business Continuity management methodology deployment at RTX suppliers.
• Establish projects to secure sustainability of quality @ rate and supplier's performance targets are achieved.
• Provide VoC (voice of the customer) to challenge existing supplier cultures/competencies.
• Identity the supplier weaknesses, capabilities, capacities, axis of improvements and development to improve supply chain maturity and robustness.
• Deploy GSQ TT tool with supplier to establish expedited and sustained recovery (Gemba walks, MPR, Quality Improvement Plan, Control Towers, LEAN, 6 sigma).
• Communicate/present to Key stakeholders, leadership, customers on recovery plan.
• Seeks opportunities to apply lessons learned to continually develop RTX supplier management processes and competencies through identification and engagement of best practice and innovative solutions.
• Define and manage Supplier Transformation Projects to achieve RTX expectations.
• Support Strategic Sourcing commodities in defining their Supply chain strategies through inputs into the Supplier Reviews or directly within the commodity.
• Develop quality mindset and continuous improvement & contribute to anticipate recurring supplier quality issues and initiate preventive KPIs
• May manage moderately sized projects or processes.
• Typically viewed as subject-matter expert within discipline.
• Analyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.
• Manages the analysis of quality data and development of part / supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
• Provides research and guidance for root cause analysis & problem solving (Red-X & 8D) in escape management procedures. Develops corrective and / or preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by suppliers.
• Manages processes and procedures for supplier qualification / certification, source inspection and material release processes, and Correction Action Boards / DQ Clinics with suppliers.
• Drives support for the RTX ZERO program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Reviews processes and metrics to ensure supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.
• Travel is up to 75% domestically and internationally.
  
  

Qualifications you Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• 8+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.
• Experience in Quality Regulations, Quality Core Tools Knowledge, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP),
• Experience in of QMS (AS 9100 , ISO 9001)

Qualifications We Prefer

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/industrial engineering
• Practical Problem Solving, International Mgmt
• Experience in FAA, TC, EASA
• Auditing/Assessing, Risk Management / Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) desirable.
• Desirable Green Belt/Black Belt certification & CPIM certification (Certified in Production & Inventory Management).
• Deep understanding of the business, the context and major challenges to handle internal customers’ needs and develop approaches which satisfy their expectations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively and easily with both internal and external executives and employees.
• Ability to define and establish appropriate overall performance management that facilitates achievement of business objectives and key deliverables through transparent visualization of status and risks, incorporating elements that also enable indication of future performance.
• Ability to establish a culture of improvement that exploits, supports and manages improvement opportunities and activities.
• Ability to adapt and use multiples forms of interaction styles to convince and / or persuade people / stakeholders to follow ideas and proposals.
• Ability to use flexible and adaptable working styles to build and develop effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to work in a multicultural context and to interact with people of different cultural backgrounds in a constructive manner to achieve commonly accepted results.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
