Analytics Lead

Job Description:

Analytics Lead is the pivot point of the ladder — the level at which you lead through influence rather than authority, and the point from which analysts branch toward people management (Analytics Manager) or deep technical leadership (Analytics Principal). You own a data-product area spanning a squad and raise the engineering and AI-first bar of the analysts around you, with no direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Technical capability — Architect and personally lead hands-on development of the analytics and reporting solutions for a squad's domain, own its semantic definitions and metrics as the single source of truth, and enforce engineering standards (Git branching, PR review, CI/CD testing) so the squad's work is trustworthy and reusable.
• Collaboration within the Tech org — Act as the key technical partner to engineering, data science, and product for your domain — aligning on shared architecture, data contracts, and interfaces, and representing analytics' needs in technical design discussions.
• Cross-functional (non-Tech) collaboration — Build trusted, durable partnerships with clinical, operational, and research leaders; identify the levers that drive system change, pull them through the right analysis, and measure and communicate the results back in their language.
• AI-native ways of working — Champion AI-enabled development and early conversational-analytics workflows for the squad, establishing the patterns for how the team uses these tools and driving real adoption rather than one-off experimentation.
• Project management & stewardship — Own and maintain a domain analytics roadmap in partnership with your manager, and ship self-serve, well-documented data products — not one-off dashboards — that achieve a high rate of adoption.
• Mentorship, influence & leadership — Mentor Specialists and Senior Specialists to raise the squad's technical bar, and lead through influence beyond your immediate team — setting standards others choose to follow without any formal authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of analytics or analytics-engineering experience delivering scalable solutions in production.
• Strong expertise in dbt, complex SQL, and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery / Looker preferred).
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining semantic layers / metrics frameworks.
• Proven fluency with Git / GitHub and CI/CD workflows, plus demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Track record of mentoring analysts and establishing standards.

This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is: 

$139,000.00 - $183,000.00 Annual
