About the job & Sofico Platform Engineering

Our Platform Engineering organization ensures our environments remain robust, performant, and operational 24/7. Because running an enterprise platform spans both advanced forward-looking engineering and day-to-day operational execution, we are hiring Platform Engineers across specialized tracks.

What You'll Do 

We have dedicated teams tailored to different strengths, expertise and career interests.   

1. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

• What you’ll do: Focus on platform resilience, system health, and high availability. You define and monitor SLOs/SLAs, lead incident triage and root cause analyses (RCA), and build end-to-end observability across our platforms.
• Key Technologies: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, FluentBit, Zabbix, OpsGenie, Linux, Bash/Python/Go.

1. Platform Automation Team (PAT)

• What you’ll do: Drive engineering speed and reliability through self-service internal developer tooling and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You build CI/CD delivery pipelines, manage GitOps configurations, and automate container workloads.
• Key Technologies: Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, Flux / ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible, Atlantis, Docker / Podman, GitHub Actions, HashiCorp Vault.

1. Platform Infrastructure Team (PIT)

• What you’ll do: Scale and manage our hybrid cloud, on-prem virtual environments, core network topology, and enterprise databases. You ensure optimal capacity, manage perimeter security, and oversee OS lifecycles.
• Key Technologies: Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), VMware, Nutanix, Oracle DB, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, GoldenGate, Cloudflare (WAF/Tunnels), IPSEC VPNs, Foreman, Veeam.

1. Platform Operations / Business as Usual (BAU)

• What you’ll do: Ensure stable day-to-day platform operations without the overhead of engineering new automation or tools. You execute standard operating procedures (SOPs), process routine service desk tickets, handle manual patch/deployment tasks, and perform scheduled environment maintenance.
• Key Technologies: Jira Service Management, Linux & Windows Server CLI, basic SQL execution (Oracle / MSSQL), standard runbooks & SOPs, Zabbix/OpsGenie alert monitoring.
