Inside the Role
The Head of Supply Chain Engineering and Transportation Operations leads the strategy and execution of end-to-end logistics engineering and transportation operations across DTNA's production network. Responsible for multi-million-dollar budgets, this role drives network optimization, planning excellence, and operational performance to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and reliable supply chain operations.This role leads teams responsible for logistics engineering, transportation network design, supply chain planning, inbound transportation operations, packaging, and third-party logistics (3PL) management.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and collaborative supply chain leader with a proven track record of optimizing end-to-end networks, leading complex operational initiatives, and leveraging digital supply chain solutions to improve cost, service, efficiency, and visibility

What You Drive at DTNA
- Develop and execute logistics engineering strategies that align with business objectives and supply chain priorities
- Lead the design and implementation of logistics systems and network solutions by partnering with business and IT teams to translate operational needs into scalable technology solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and execution
- Develop and maintain in-plant logistics standards that connect internal and external logistics flows, ensuring efficient material movement, warehouse operations, and end-to-end supply chain execution
- Translate operational requirements into packaging specifications
- Lead end-to-end packaging operations, including strategy, design, inventory planning, performance management, and implementation across the supply chain network
- Lead transportation network design, including 3PL footprint optimization, transportation network analysis, distribution strategies, and capacity planning
- Oversee engineering studies, simulations, and continuous improvement efforts
- Lead business case development and evaluations for logistics improvement initiatives
- Design scalable transportation solutions that improve efficiency, increase flexibility, and reduce supply chain costs
- Support carrier sourcing strategies with operational requirements
- Manage daily transportation operations, including shipment execution, carrier coordination, and delivery performance
- Analyze packaging performance data and identify opportunities to reduce costs
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including in-plant logistics, procurement & supply, and carrier partners to drive seamless execution
- Drive proactive risk mitigation and corrective action plans to minimize disruptions, improve resiliency, and ensure reliable end-to-end supply chain execution
- Establish a single source of truth for operational data, enabling accurate reporting, improved decision-making, and enhanced visibility across the supply chain network
- Enhance real-time visibility across the supply chain through data integration, analytics, and performance management tools
- Develop financial processes and cost transparency tools that support effective management of end-to-end supply chain costs and performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and transportation regulations
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding risks, constraints, and action plans
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of logistics engineers and supply chain specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Knowledge you should bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or relevant field
- 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, or operational leadership roles
- Experience leading end-to-end supply chain planning, logistics engineering, transportation operations, and network optimizations
- Experience designing and implementing transportation networks, 3PL strategies, warehousing solutions, and material flow processes
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technology roadmaps and partner effectively with IT organizations to deliver scalable network solutions
- Advanced experience with supply chain analytics, transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and digital supply chain technologies
- Proven ability to manage multimillion-dollar budgets, business cases, capital investments, and strategic initiatives that deliver measurable financial results
- Experience building collaborative partnerships with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal & external stakeholders to improve network efficiency and service performance
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills
- Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams
