A well-established regional law firm is seeking a Business Litigation Associate with approximately 2-5 years of experience to join its growing litigation team in Raleigh. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated commercial disputes while gaining significant client contact and courtroom experience. What You'll Do
- Handle complex business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Draft and argue motions.
- Attend court hearings and manage case strategy.
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive briefs and memoranda.
- Work directly with partners and clients on litigation strategy.
- Manage day-to-day case responsibilities in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following are encouraged to apply:
- Business and commercial litigation
- North Carolina Business Court matters
- Shareholder and derivative disputes
- Mergers & acquisitions litigation
- Commercial lease disputes
- Commercial debt collection and enforcement
- Other complex business disputes
Qualifications
- Approximately 2-5 years of litigation experience
- Strong deposition, motion practice, courtroom, and case management experience
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters while working collaboratively with clients and colleagues
- Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, or eligible for admission
