The Demand Planner position is a highly visible Supply Chain role that will be responsible for generating the demand plan for the assigned categories. The role will also support the S&OP process. The Demand Planner is a hands-on position that is responsible for developing and executing a demand plan for the category to enable the company to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other Supply Chain functions, Sales and Marketing, and Customer Support teams is an essential function for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Generate monthly demand forecasts utilizing the demand planning system, e.g. Dynamics.
- Conduct forecast accuracy analysis ensuring forecasting processes and methods are followed.
- Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast, e.g. historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and when available, account POS and inventory data.
- Lead Consensus Forecast meetings with Marketing and Sales teams to review sales forecasts and all other pertinent information that may impact the forecast. Advise sales and marketing teams of variances between forecasts, plans, and actuals.
- Measure and analyze the impact of forecast accuracy on the business. Prepare, report, and communicate forecast metrics performance to Leadership.
- Support S&OP processes with data and analysis.
- Continuously improve forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches.
- Coordinate the demand planning process for new product introductions in supply chain.
- Utilize best practice methodology for creating forecasts and recommend adjustments to forecast based on changes in demand and market trends.
- Continuously maintain and improve documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
Experience, Skills, Education:
- 5+ years related experience in demand planning and S&OP with a CPG company
- ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics preferred). Experience with DRP/MRP functionality.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business 3
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well on cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and math aptitude.
- Microsoft office suite experience. Extensive spreadsheet analysis skills.
- Must be able to multitask and re-prioritize workload frequently.
- Must be detail oriented and extremely organized.
- Have an understanding of continuous improvement tools to assist decision-making.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range:
$81,772.00 - $136,287.00Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
