The Opportunity
The PMO Analyst will support our Canada PMO through portfolio reporting, process improvement, business analysis, and development of PowerApps and Power BI solutions. This role will serve as a key partner to project teams, leadership (Canada Projects, Projects Services, etc.), and all stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable improvements, dashboards, workflows and various business applications.
Success within this role will combine strong Project management skills (gained through experience and/or the PMBOK), PowerApps and Power BI knowledge to enhance project visibility, improve governance processes and ultimately drive operational efficiencies for our project execution teams.
What you’ll do
- Support Canada PMO governance processes and refresh
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure consistency in project reporting, tooling and support (while also adhering to PDS governance requirements)
- Work with stakeholders to develop improvements to monitoring project health, risks, opportunities and building tangible, effective solutions
- Ability to present effectively to leadership, stakeholders and team members on prospective initiatives, while also managing continuous improvement of tools that are currently being developed or that require enhancements
- Develop and communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to diverse stakeholder audiences
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across business, operational and technical teams (ie. Canada Projects, Project Systems, US PMO, PDS, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience supporting project management, PMO, business analysis, reporting, continuous improvement, or related functions.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, or business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI and/or Power Apps).
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical solutions, workflows, reports, or process improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and visualization.
- Knowledge of project governance frameworks and project delivery methodologies, including PMBOK principles.
- Experience supporting large capital projects, engineering projects, or energy industry projects.
