Position Overview
Reporting to the Planning & Analytics Supervisor, the Order Releases Planning Analyst plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are released efficiently and accurately to meet service level commitments while optimizing operational and logistics performance. This position serves as a critical liaison between Planning & Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales teams to support inventory flow, order fulfillment, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales order release process to support customer service objectives and operational efficiency.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve order release workflows to enhance fill rates and operational performance.
- Analyze order release trends and provide reports, recommendations, and insights to management.
- Create and manage rework work orders as required.
- Coordinate rework packaging activities across operations teams.
- Create and coordinate transfer orders to replenish inventory between facilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales teams to support business objectives.
- Support the Planning & Analytics Supervisor with reporting, analysis, and ad hoc departmental initiative
Ideal Qualifications
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in planning, inventory management, scheduling, reporting, or a related supply chain function.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Pronto or similar) is an asset.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Snowflake, Tableau, or other reporting and analytics tools is an asset.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Position follows an onsite work requirement, consisting of five (5) days onsite.
- Primarily office-based with standard working hours.
- Flexibility in work hours may be required, including additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines or address urgent business needs.
- Minimal physical demands, primarily involving sitting, using a computer, and other office-related activities.
- Hands-on oversight of inbound, outbound, and warehouse operations.
- Exposure to warehouse conditions, including equipment traffic, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Additional hours may be required during peak periods, inventory counts, or business-critical situations.
