What this job involves:

As an Instructional Designer at JLL, you will create impactful learning experiences that empower our global workforce to excel in an ever-evolving real estate landscape. You'll partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to design comprehensive learning solutions across multiple formats — from engaging eLearning courses and instructor-led training to practical documentation, handbooks, and how-to guides. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees, and your instructional design expertise will be central to this mission. You'll apply adult learning principles and proven methodologies to conduct gap analyses, facilitate content-gathering workshops, and transform complex concepts into accessible training that drives performance. Working collaboratively across our global organization, you'll build out our training backlog by converting existing materials and developing new, role-specific content while leveraging modern learning technologies that embrace more innovative ways of working.

What your day-to-day will look like:

 

• Design and develop high-quality eLearning courses using industry-standard authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms
• Create instructor-led training materials including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentation decks, and hands-on activities
• Develop practical documentation such as handbooks, quick reference guides, how-to guides, and job aids that support on-the-job performance
• Conduct gap analyses and lead content-gathering workshops with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and extract relevant information
• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create learner-centered content that drives knowledge retention and behavior change
• Build and manage training content backlogs, prioritizing projects from light-lift conversions of existing materials to complex, role-specific learning path development
• Design role-based training solutions that address the unique needs of different audiences, whether creating unified content for all or customized paths for specific roles
• Develop multimedia learning assets including interactive scenarios, assessments, videos, and simulations that enhance engagement and learning outcomes
• Evaluate and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve learning experiences throughout the development process

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or related field
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing learning content across multiple formats (eLearning, ILT, documentation) for corporate environments
• Expert proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.), and learning theories
• Demonstrated ability to conduct gap analyses and facilitate workshops to gather content and assess learning needs
• Experience designing instructor-led training and creating supporting materials (facilitator guides, participant materials, presentations)
• Proven ability to write clear, engaging instructional content across formats including scripts, guides, handbooks, and how-to documentation
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM standards
• Solid project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize a training content backlog

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field
• Experience in real estate, professional services, or other corporate industries
• Knowledge of multimedia production including video editing and graphic design
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
• Experience designing role-based learning paths and curriculum architecture
• Familiarity with learning analytics and data-driven design optimization
• Experience with xAPI, microlearning, and mobile learning strategies
• Certification in instructional design or eLearning development (ATD, eLearning Guild, etc.)
• Experience working in global, multicultural organizations with geographically dispersed teams
