Toll Brothers, America's Luxury Home Builder, has an immediate opportunity for a top-notch Regional Controller to join our team in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
What is the opportunity?
The Regional Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions within a geographic region and serves as a key business partner to regional leadership.
What are the primary responsibilities?
- Manage and mentor a team including Division/Sr. Division Controllers and their staff
- Oversee/review and coordinate month and quarter end close process, variance analysis, review of balance sheet and income statement and other reports to summarize financial performance
- Prepare and communicate consolidated monthly and quarterly regional financial reporting
- Review of monthly journal entries, monthly P&L, and variance analysis
- Monitor that all monthly division balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely, fully supported, and accurate
- Partner with FP&A by supporting and prepare analyses required for operational reviews and land acquisition as needed
- Participating with management on strategic decisions and initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal corporate policies and procedures along with continued development and monitoring controls and procedures
- Maintain SOX compliance within the region of responsibility
- Analyze and review impairment analyses, as needed, and review scenarios with senior management
- Review pre-development with senior management to determine probability and write-offs
- Review quarterly gross margin actuals reconciliation prepared by controllers to ensure all material variances are properly addressed
- Collaborate with SVP Accounting to identify areas of improvement in accounting and reporting processes
- Assist with internal and external audit coordination and support
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Does this describe you?
- Extensive knowledge of financial statement preparation and monthly close processes, US GAAP and SOX
- Able to manage multiple priorities while focusing on detail orientation and effective time management
- Experience managing and training a team
- Proven track record of managing complex processes with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Experience communicating with management and other accounting leaders
Do you have these qualifications?
- Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 8-10 years of professional accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP
- Preferred:
- CPA or equivalent
- Experience in home building/construction
- Experience using JD Edwards/ E1
