Job Description
Job Summary**
The First Vice President at UOB Hong Kong will play a pivotal role in leading and managing key strategic initiatives, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence within their assigned domain. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong track record in the financial services industry, capable of contributing significantly to the bank's success and market position.
Job Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and contribute to UOB Hong Kong's overall growth.
* Lead and manage a team of professionals, fostering a high-performance culture, and providing guidance and mentorship.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and expand market share.
* Oversee the development and execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
* Manage risk effectively, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations.
* Represent UOB Hong Kong in various internal and external forums, promoting the bank's brand and values.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to optimize processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
* Prepare and present reports to senior management on business performance, project status, and market insights.
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the assigned business unit.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
* Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and project management.
* Strong understanding of the Hong Kong financial market, regulatory landscape, and industry best practices.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus).
* HKMA licence Type 1 & Type 4 is required
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are highly advantageous.
* Holder of ECF qualification on CRM is preferred
