PURPOSE
Lead strategies and related activities of the development, launch and lifecycle of our credit enhancement products.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of MGIC’s credit enhancement product lines (e.g., flow MI, bulk MI, lender CRT).
· Leads the process of handling customer and partner requests relating to credit enhancement solutions.
· Leverages knowledge and relationships to provide operational and strategic support to risk transfer initiatives.
· Leads cross-functional business groups and engages with appropriate key resources from other business areas, to ensure products meet customer needs.
· Gathers and analyzes information from various perspectives and formulates recommendations.
· Leads MGIC’s surveillance and monitors the competitive marketplace, including information relating to technical trends, industry business partners, and government events that impact product strategies and other related activities.
· Identifies business opportunities and conducts research to formulate recommendations to management while ensuring that programs support the overall corporate strategy.
· Takes lead responsibility on customer product initiatives and requests. Research proposals from customers, assesses customer need and responds to requests appropriately.
· Works with senior management to establish short- and long-term product line objectives.
· Responsible for developing and administering budgets for new and enhanced programs by means of preparing cost-benefit analyses and ensuring compliance with budget guidelines.
· May be responsible for mentoring and counseling junior staff.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge:
· Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage insurance and the mortgage finance market,
· MGIC’s business, strategic direction, products, technologies, business practices, and customers
· Mortgage industry trends and emerging initiatives
· Sales and marketing strategies and techniques
· Financial analysis, calculations and concepts
Experience:
More than 7 years of comprehensive and related experience in the mortgage lending and/or mortgage insurance/credit enhancement industry in a marketing, product development environment.
Required Skills:
· Project leadership and business case development
· Analytical skills, use of XLS
· Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
· Ability to think strategically
· Business acumen
FLSA: This position qualifies for the Administrative exemption as the employee is required to exercise discretion and independent judgment in developing products/brands to further the sale of mortgage insurance.

Pay Range:
$109,990.00 - $186,990.00
This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth
