Product Manager Senior [KYB]

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own KYB (Know Your Business) — the stage where we examine a company end to end and decide whether to open an account or decline it.

We launched a bank for businesses in Mexico a few months ago, and KYB is both its front door and its shield. A process that is too slow or confusing sends good companies to competitors before their account is opened; a process that is too shallow lets fraud and money laundering in.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of compliance, engineering, and operations, owning the system that solves both problems at once: from the list of documents we request from a company, through OCR and automated data extraction, to the interface where a KYB analyst sees the full picture in minutes and makes a decision.
The targets are concrete:

• three days from full document submission to account opening
• one day to first response on a case
• a growing share of cases resolved by automated pre-checks, so analyst time goes into judgment rather than data gathering.

Challenges that await you:

• Working hand in hand with the Compliance team on which documents and data we request from businesses, how checks are run, and the rules for approving or declining companies
• Balancing regulatory requirements (CNBV, LFPIORPI, AML/CFT) against funnel conversion: removing unnecessary requirements, simplifying wording, and reducing back-and-forth with clients
• Turning regulation into clear product rules: acceptable-activity matrices, risk scoring, and EDD criteria
• Designing the full case journey: how a complete document package reaches us, how OCR and data extraction work, and how a case is assembled and delivered to an analyst
• Building the KYB analyst workspace — an interface where all company information is laid out so that analysis and decision-making take minutes rather than hours
• Automating everything that can be automated: data cross-checks, integrations with registries and external sources, automated pre-checks, and analyst hints, including with LLMs
• Defining and owning the metrics of the system: conversion to an open account, time to first response, cost per company, reviewing time, and false positives
• Designing the operating model for the analyst team: how many analysts we need, how cases are distributed, what the workday looks like, and which checklists, decision-quality standards, and QA processes support it
• Setting SLAs for every stage and building processes that hold those SLAs as volumes grow severalfold

 

What makes you a great fit:

• 5+ years of experience in product management, with a significant part in fintech, banking, or adjacent domains (onboarding, KYC/KYB, anti-fraud, compliance, risk)
• Experience building operations-heavy products, where the product is not only an interface but also processes, people, and SLAs
• Strong data and funnel skills: you pull the numbers yourself, find bottlenecks, and quantify the impact of changes
• Experience designing internal tools — back-office systems, admin panels, and workspaces for operational teams
• Ability to work with regulatory and compliance requirements, translating legal language into product decisions without breaking either side
• Experience launching products from scratch (0 to 1) in a fast-growth environment
• B2 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team

Your bonus skills:

• Hands-on experience with KYB or KYC processes: corporate documents, UBOs, ownership structures, sanctions and AML screening
• Spanish language, or experience working in Latin America or Mexico
• Experience deploying OCR, ML, or LLMs in operational workflows
