Description
# Key Responsibilities
## Portfolio and program management
- Responsible for a defined group of OLED development programs across the development and high-volume manufacturing phases. Establishes clear structure, unambiguous ownership, a reliable review rhythm, transparent risk visibility and consistent follow-up until closure, supported by recurring reviews, tracking documents, phase gate deliverables and risk registers.
- Manages the portfolio as a product: clear positioning, market fit and execution plan, aligned with customer technology roadmaps, internal R&D capability and long-term business growth targets.
- Supports a major development program through its gate milestones, covering product architecture, customer validation, investment planning and execution readiness, and assumes ownership of defined parts of the program over time.
- Brings issues to management together with a recommendation rather than a status report: a proposed direction and the reasoning that supports it.
## Management and executive readiness
- Prepares the content for monthly program reviews, strategic reviews and gate packages, and presents it in those forums.
- Consolidates complex material into a concise storyline with an explicit management decision request.
- Provides the revenue and unit forecast for the assigned programs into the planning and S&OP process.
- Authors assigned sections of the monthly BU roadmap communication under own name, including the forward priorities for the coming period.
## Market, competition and installed base
- Assesses existing and emerging OLED markets, analyses market segmentation and external and internal OLED data, and translates the findings into strategic direction and positioning for the assigned programs.
- Maintains competitive and installed base intelligence for the assigned programs: competitor platforms, installed capacity by generation and customer, and technology substitution risk. Keeps this current as a standing monthly deliverable.
- Analyses the installed base for retrofit and upgrade potential and develops the findings into quantified business opportunities. Tracking technical capability alone is not the deliverable.
## Productivity through AI tools
- Applies AI tools to the recurring analytical and reporting workload of the assigned programs: cost and configuration analysis, data extraction from program and document systems, status consolidation, and updates to competitive and installed base data.
- Converts recurring manual effort into repeatable automated workflows, and documents them so that they can be adopted elsewhere in the BU.
- Reviews and challenges AI output before it is used. The judgement whether a result is correct, complete and usable remains with the role holder.
## Cross-functional collaboration and communication
- Identifies organisational barriers within the assigned programs, raises them early, and proposes a resolution.
- Partners with the management team and other marketing functions to ensure that the overall marketing function meets the organisation's strategic objectives.
- Engages stakeholders directly and independently across functions, regions and management levels, including senior management.
# Level Expectations
Functional Knowledge. Demonstrates depth and breadth of expertise in display or semiconductor equipment product development, program management or product marketing.
Business Expertise. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services. Connects technical work to cost, timing, roadmap, investment and customer outcome.
Leadership. May lead cross-functional teams and projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity, without direct authority.
Problem Solving. Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions. Applies the same standard of judgement to results generated by AI tools.
Impact. Impacts the achievement of customer, operational and program objectives for the assigned scope; work is guided by functional policies.
Interpersonal Skills. Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view. Questions assumptions constructively, including those of the manager.
# Qualifications
- Master or PhD degree in Engineering, Business or a related field preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in program management, product marketing, portfolio management or strategic planning, ideally in display, semiconductor or high-tech capital equipment.
- Strong technical background in display or semiconductor processes and equipment preferred.
- Proven ability to drive complex programs with multiple stakeholders and demanding timelines to completion, not only to coordinate or consolidate them.
- Confident in engaging stakeholders directly across functions, regions and management levels.
- Experience presenting to and negotiating with senior management.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking. Able to construct and defend a quantified business argument.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, written and verbal.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organisation across multiple time zones with a significant degree of autonomy.
