Job Description
As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily operate a vehicle to support security-related operations. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. - Provide customer service to healthcare facility personnel, visitors, patients, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
