POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the purchase, stocking and accounting of parts needed for the maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the routine attainment of parts and supplies needed for maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Expedites the receipt of critical parts through to delivery to the end user once parts are in the building.
- Maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
- Analyzes need for spare parts.
- Maintains the physical inventory of the parts and supplies in the maintenance department. This responsibility includes shipping, receiving, stocking, cleaning, and all other physical duties necessary to maintain this valuable inventory.
- Documents purchases in accordance with company and departmental purchasing policies
- Maintain the accuracy of the inventory on the computer system.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Prior 1 year experience in maintenance software system. Experience in MP2 and or Oracle preferred.
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet software
- Working knowledge of equipment and machinery terminology (roller bearing, needle bearing, bushing, reducer ratios, horsepower, etc.)
- Intermediate organizational skills, including ability to maintain inventories in orderly fashion on a continuous basis.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks (understand the needed timing of placing orders for adequate stocking)
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Lozier systems knowledge.
- Scheduling skills using methods, machinery, labor or materials.
- Demonstrated applied knowledge of BOM, Routings, Capacity Planning, Order Scheduling and staffing policies and procedures.
Customer service oriented
SPECIAL DEMANDS
- Occasionally carry 50 lb loads on. For example, pick up a motor from receiving, put on a cart and transport to Maintenance.
- Majority of time is stationed at desk performing either data entry, phone conversation, or investigation.
- Must be capable of frequent trips throughout facility.
