Third-party parts catalog — Build and own the 3rd-party products and parts catalog for M&U: part numbers, descriptions, attributes, images, supersessions, and cross-references to OEM equivalents.
Global 3rd-party supplier list (AVL) — Establish and maintain the approved global supplier list for third-party suppliers as a single source of truth, with region, capability, and qualification status.
Supplier specifications — Govern supplier specs (drawings, tolerances, material and compliance requirements); keep them version-controlled and linked to the correct part and supplier, and drive spec standardization to enable dual-sourcing.
Supplier master + PFEP — Maintain supplier master data and the Plan For Every Part: for every SKU — sourcing supplier, lead time, MOQ, pack/lot size, unit cost, replenishment logic, and inventory strategy.
Summary
Leads team of intermediate to experienced Procurement professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on RFPs, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and/or program execution. Reviews prices, manufacturing processes, and contracts and makes recommendations for changes to ensure a successful procurement process.
Job Description
Manages execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, negotation strategy, cost accountability, and/or program execution.
Directs programs for effective vendor selection and management with a view to minimize purchasing costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply.
Reviews changes in price trends and manufacturing processes and makes recommendations to ensure successful procurement process.
Manages resolution of client issues or problems.
Monitors and coordinates suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
Authorizes purchase orders, negotiates prices and approves payments to support the procurement process in large territories.
Reviews and assesses request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes.
Minimum Requirements
Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.
Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years' experience
