We are now recruiting for a Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in developing a global procurement strategy and delivering commercial value across our supply base.

What you’ll be doing

As a Procurement Manager within Rolls-Royce SMR, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering commodity strategies in a New Product Introduction environment. Unlike traditional procurement roles, this position requires building the supply base from the ground up—there is no established supply chain. Instead, you will be responsible for developing it through robust, insight-driven strategies. You will

• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, setting and embodying high standards and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

• Create commodity strategies by conducting in-depth market research, supplier positioning analysis, cost, capacity modelling, and value stream mapping.

• Define how we source and engage with suppliers and influence the direction of both design and commercial decision-making.

• Ensure that procurement is embedded early in the product lifecycle, enabling cost-effective, scalable, and resilient supply solutions that align with our long-term programme goals.

• Representative us in both internal and external forums

What you will bring

• Experience in delivering supply chain strategies and solutions in an NPI environment within highly regulated sector, having held a front-line role in procurement or operations, delivering against challenging objectives and tight timescales.

• A commercially astute approach, with the ability to balance cost, risk, and value across complex procurement activities with the nous to influence decision-making, optimise supplier relationships, and drive value throughout the procurement lifecycle.

• Robust knowledge of strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, project delivery, regulatory compliance, logistics, and end-to-end procurement solutions.

• Demonstrable experience in developing and deploying strategic procurement frameworks that deliver high-value outcomes.

• The ability to embed best practices into procurement processes and driving innovation across the supply base.

We welcome MCIPS qualified (or working towards qualification) professionals but are equally open equivalent professional certification, and advanced Excel skills, particularly for cost modelling and reporting, are prized.

We anticipate offering between £63,700 - £78,750 and benefits include

• 12% performance‑related bonus

• Benefits Allowance – £2,200 to build a personalised package
