Description
Shape the global transportation strategy of an international organization and drive excellence, digitalization, and efficiency across the entire transport network. As part of the Global Logistics Center of Excellence, you will take on a highly visible leadership role with significant strategic impact. Working closely with global stakeholders, you will deliver sustainable improvements in service, cost performance, and compliance.
Your responsibilities
Develop and drive the global transportation strategy and roadmap.
Establish global transportation standards, policies, and governance processes across the organization.
Manage the global transportation budget and identify opportunities for cost optimization and productivity improvements.
Define, monitor, and continuously improve transportation KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.
Lead freight network optimization initiatives, including consolidation programs and modal shift opportunities.
Drive digital transformation through Transport Management Systems (TMS), analytics, visibility solutions, and innovation.
Lead global continuous improvement and transformation programs using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Coach and support regional transportation organizations while fostering a global community of best-practice sharing.
Your qualifications
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Extensive experience (>10 years) in international transportation and logistics, ideally within complex global supply chain networks.
Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation and continuous improvement initiatives; Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement knowledge preferred.
Strong expertise in transportation management across road, air, ocean, and parcel transportation.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and, ideally, experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries.
Hands-on experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS), transportation analytics, and performance management tools.
Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally (up to 60%).
