Software Engineer – Android (Onsite, Karachi, PKR Salary)

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of professional Android development experience, with strong Kotlin fundamentals and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Solid understanding of the Android SDK, lifecycle management, and mobile application architecture.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, handling asynchronous operations, and working with authentication.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, testing, and Play Store deployment, along with an understanding of mobile security and secure storage.
• Experience with OTT, ExoPlayer / Media3, DRM, deep linking, or subscription flows.
• Knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection.
• Experience with CI/CD for Android applications, with exposure to performance monitoring and crash analytics.
• Strong attention to mobile UX and performance, with ownership of features from development through release.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving discipline, with effective collaboration across mobile and platform teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, translating product and UI/UX requirements into responsive mobile experiences.
• Integrate REST APIs, authentication, analytics, notifications, and third-party SDKs.
• Implement media playback and streaming-related functionality where required.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, battery consumption, and startup time.
• Write unit and UI tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with backend, product, design, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Support Play Store release preparation, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
