Description
Responsibilities
- Serve as building deputy for the Dauch Alumni Center (DAC).
- Manage, schedule, coordinate, and oversee all scheduled meetings/events in Dauch event space.
- Coordinate and execute Dauch staff engagement events
- Regularly inspect facility to ensure a high standard for alumni and guests.
- Oversee space management for DAC, including office assignments, moves, changes and additions.
- Manage annual operating budget for the Dauch facilities and Dauch event services.
- Coordinate and manage invoicing, billing, purchasing, and vendor payment processes for Dauch events & facilities,
- Plan future renovations and repairs for DAC.
- Review, maintain, and communicate policies and procedures for building usage and operations.
- Maintain and communicate emergency plan information, security access policies and schedules.
- Manage Purdue for Life Foundation mail/communications center, including the distribution of U.S. and campus mail, FedEx, and other expedited services; oversee shipping and receiving for the facility.
- Ensure compliance with office standards, which includes all repairs and relationships with zone workers.
- Maintain all keys, pass cards, and security cameras for the Dauch Alumni Center to control facility access.
- Manage employee workspace allocation and office accommodations,
- Serve as curator of exhibits.
- Manage and ensure internal and external expectations are met for all events in the DAC.
- Coordinate and manage cleaning of operational areas not cleaned by Purdue Building Services.
- Supervise Facility Utility Worker.
- Review and recommend operational changes as appropriate.
- Manage kitchen catering operations.
- Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise multiple student worker staff.
- Coordinate building services staff for building maintenance.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong customer service orientation and good communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have excellent organizational and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks which originate from numerous sources to meet various deadlines.
- Must be able to work a flex schedule which will include some weekends and evenings.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ADA compliance and office safety procedures.
Required Education, Experience and Benefits Summary
- Two years of experience with facilities administration required.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience with Purdue University business operations and procedures/policy, is preferred.
- Event management/coordination preferred
- Associates degree preferred, but not required.
