In this role, you will contribute to the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications used to manage complex European programmes, services, and operations. You will act as a key point of contact between users, business stakeholders, and technical teams, helping to ensure a high level of service quality and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, analyse, and manage incidents, service requests, and user inquiries through various support channels.
- Provide first-line and/or second-line support for business applications and digital platforms.
- Investigate functional and technical issues, identify root causes, and coordinate solutions with development and infrastructure teams.
- Monitor application performance and ensure service continuity.
- Keep users informed on incident status, progress, and resolution.
- Escalate complex issues when appropriate and follow up until closure.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge bases, user guides, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Support user acceptance testing, releases, and system upgrades when required.
- Deliver training sessions, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing activities to end users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with business representatives, project teams, and external service providers.
- Participate in continuous service improvement initiatives and process optimisation activities.
- Ensure compliance with IT service management best practices and established support procedures.
Your Profile
- Higher education degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in Application Support, Service Desk, Helpdesk, IT Support, Business Application Support, or a similar role.
- Good understanding of incident management and problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer-oriented skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.
- Strong team spirit combined with the ability to work independently.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with ticketing and service management tools is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and IT Service Management practices is a plus.
- Experience supporting applications within public sector organisations or European Institutions would be advantageous.
- Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level). Additional European languages are considered an asset.
- Availability to work in Brussels, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, or other European Institution locations depending on project requirements.
