Assistant Technical Designer

PRTNR Recruiting is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer for an apparel brand creating swimwear, activewear, and lifestyle products with a strong focus on fit, construction, function, and quality.

This is an opportunity to build hands-on technical design experience across multiple product categories while working closely with vendors, production partners, and cross-functional teams. You'll have visibility into the apparel product lifecycle and play an important role in moving styles from early prototypes through production-ready samples.

REPONSIBILITIES 

• Support apparel development from prototype through production by keeping samples, measurements, and technical information accurate and current.
• Measure and evaluate prototype, sales, pre-production, and top-of-production samples against established specifications.
• Maintain Excel-based tech packs and enter detailed garment measurements with a high degree of accuracy.
• Keep sample development moving by communicating with vendors, monitoring expected arrivals, and identifying timing issues.
• Coordinate weekly fit priorities across swim, active, and lifestyle apparel categories.
• Partner with domestic production teams on pattern and development needs.
• Maintain organized technical files and seasonal sample collections so information and garments are easy to access.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of technical design experience within apparel.
• Hands-on experience measuring garment samples and maintaining accurate technical data.
• Working knowledge of the end-to-end apparel product development lifecycle.
• Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Excellent organization and time management across multiple deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal partners.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving ability.
