Position Title: Corporate Partnerships Manager

Department: Development

FLSA Status: Full Time Exempt

Schedule: 40 Hours per Week/Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (Includes 30-minute unpaid meal break).

Established in 1985, Food Bank of Central New York is a not-for-profit organization leading the fight to end hunger across an 11-county service area that includes Central New York, Northern New York, and the Mohawk Valley. The Food Bank acts as the primary food distribution hub for hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and faith-based organizations in our region.

In addition to food acquisition and distribution, we address the root causes of food insecurity through innovative programming, nutrition education, outreach, and collaboration with non-traditional food bank partners such as healthcare providers. The Food Bank also engages in state and federal advocacy efforts to strengthen anti-hunger policy and work alongside community partners to create lasting solutions that ensure all neighbors can thrive.

Our impact over 12 months is:

· 22.5 million pounds of food distributed

· 18.7 million meals provided to neighbors in need

· 7.6 million pounds of produce and dairy distributed

· 6.1 million pounds of food rescued from 146 retail partners

· 576,080 pounds of hygiene & household items distributed

POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will help expand corporate engagement efforts for Food Bank of Central New York. This role serves as a point of contact for assigned corporate partners and volunteer groups, building and strengthening relationships that advance the mission. The position is responsible for expanding corporate employee engagement opportunities, and connecting corporate partners to the broader donor development pipeline including corporate sponsorships. The role also oversees volunteer strategy and operations to ensure a high-quality, mission-driven experience for all participants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Identify, develop, and steward corporate partnerships that support Food Bank of Central New York through sponsorships, employee giving, volunteerism, and other engagement opportunities
• Introduce corporate volunteers into the donor development pipeline in coordination with Development team
• Represent Food Bank of Central New York at internal and external events, including tours, speaking engagements, and community outreach
• Oversee the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, providing direction and accountability for volunteer operations and recognition strategies
• Ensure the execution of volunteer recognition efforts that reflect appreciation and deepen engagement
• Oversee food drive coordination, including year-round engagement with corporate food donors
• Ensure delivery of a high-quality, well-organized volunteer experience aligned with organizational standards
• Maintain and optimize the volunteer management system to support reporting, communication, and engagement tracking
• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to assigned staff, including regular check-ins, performance evaluations, professional development planning, team compliance with policies and procedures, and conflict management.
• Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making within scope of responsibility, while escalating issues appropriately.
• Promote and model leadership that supports Food Bank of Central New York’s values and strategic direction.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments and leadership to support cross-functional initiatives and organization-wide goals.
• Maintain awareness of budgetary impact, resource needs, and compliance requirements relevant to their teams and grants.
• Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational planning, policy updates, and performance improvement efforts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to consistently travel throughout assigned service area.
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for consistent periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Able to move about the office, warehouse environments, and outdoors as needed

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or related field preferred
• Relevant certifications in fundraising, volunteer management, or nonprofit leadership are a plus
• This position will receive a pre-employment background check. Food Bank of Central New York complies with all applicable state and federal laws pertaining to drug testing and background checks, including Article 23-A.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in corporate partnerships, fundraising, volunteer management, or related field
• Experience managing or supporting corporate sponsorships and employee engagement programs
• Experience supervising staff or leading cross-functional work preferred
• Experience representing an organization in external-facing roles, including events and presentations
• Experience working with CRM or volunteer management systems

• Bi-or multi-lingual a plus
