Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Service Center Director provides leadership and strategic direction to support a clinically integrated supply chain which is service focused, purposely planning and executing on the centralized management for the shipping, receipt, inventory management, storage and distribution of supplies, and other items as required to support patients. Must possess the necessary skills to be able to adapt and navigate through crises interrupting the supply chain, both locally and globally. Ensures that all areas of responsibility are meeting ongoing performance related goals and objectives. Works directly with Virtua with the supply departments to ensure service center fill rates and other service requirements are met or exceeded. Develops required linkages between Virtua’s strategic master plan and the tactical implementation of the Supply Chain strategic plan for the designated areas of responsibility, which includes service center/warehouse inventory and logistics, courier/transportation services, mailroom and print services. Provides the vision, strategic direction and oversight of supply chain operations activities of assigned, to meet Virtua’s goals and objectives. Responsible for all aspects of the warehouse management systems, and other applicable systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Directs daily operations and management functions (i.e. – HR, Payroll, Customer Service) for the system supply chain Service Center. Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the facilities.
Leads and optimizes all supply chain technology upgrades, specific to the supply chain Service center. Directs, leads and establishes optimization of functionality and staff training associated with the technologies.
Accountable for oversight of staff, including all necessary education and training. Development and adherence of standard operating procedures to ensure efficiencies and meet regulatory requirements.
Responsible for all product conversions items stocked at the Service Center and required communication to ensure smooth conversions and adoption of product substitutes.
Leads and measures performance of the outsourced services and vendor relationships to meet customer service requirements. Responsible for the Mail Services department.
Manages departmental payroll within established guidelines.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years broad based, progressive supply chain administration experience required; healthcare preferred. Three years' leadership experience.
Must have excellent communication, critical thinking and leadership skills.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Training / Certification / Licensure:
Valid NJ Driver’s License
Annual Salary: $117,575 - $188,672 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.This position is eligible to participate in one of Virtua’s annual incentive compensation plan (AICP). The amount is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan document.
