The Opportunity

We're looking for Graduates to join our MVD - Derivatives & Valuation team in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, commencing in November 2026.

Our team helps audit teams and clients assess the valuation of financial instruments, including quoted equities and bonds, unlisted debt, interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives, options and other complex instruments.

As part of the team, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of valuation work, using independent market data, valuation engines and analytical thinking to help unlock valuation insights of complex transactions.

No two days are the same. You’ll support clients, audit teams and other stakeholders across a portfolio of engagements, giving you variety, broad exposure and the opportunity to build your skills quickly. You’ll learn from experienced professionals while being encouraged to think independently, take ownership of your work and step into more responsibility as you grow.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Physics, Bachelor of Mathematics, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science or a similar quantitative degree.

  • Be in your final year of study or have recently graduated.

  • Strong academic performance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in financial instruments and valuation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly with clients, audit teams and other stakeholders.

  • Independent thinking and the confidence to take ownership of your work.

  • A curious, motivated attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple engagements.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Comfort working with technology, data, Excel, valuation tools and emerging AI enabled ways of working.

Before you apply, please ensure you have your latest CV and academic transcript ready. You can only apply for one job. In the application form, let us know if you would be open to other roles, and we will handle the rest - no need to apply multiple times.

Eligibility: Applications are open to New Zealand and Australian citizens and permanent residents. Candidates on student or work visas may only apply for roles within our Audit, Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT), and Internal Audit & GRC teams, provided they meet the relevant eligibility criteria.
