Description
Your mission
- You are our single point of contact (SPOC) for all international tax matters. You keep all the strings together, ensure that we remain globally compliant – supported by our accounting team and external tax experts
- International expansion? You’re on board. Whether it’s new sales hires abroad or invoicing customers worldwide – you assess the tax implications (VAT, WHT, PE, CIT, TT) and provide pragmatic solutions
- You work independently, act as a sparring partner for various teams, and oversee tax matters for our subsidiaries. You coordinate international tax advisors who handle registrations, filings, and declarations
- Transfer pricing? That’s your responsibility. Together with our external consultants, you develop and advance our TP strategy, ensure implementation and documentation – and provide hands-on support to operational units
- Together with our sales team, you help shape our international tax strategy – especially regarding VAT and withholding tax obligations
- You also bring fresh ideas to our processes: you optimize, automate, and standardize wherever possible – and establish a group-wide Tax Compliance Management System (CMS)
- You are familiar with HGB financial statements, support with tax filings, and provide a reliable backbone during tax audits
- You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the Head of Finance
Your profile
- You have a degree in economics or a comparable qualification with a focus on tax and accounting. A tax advisor certification is a plus, but not a must
- You have at least five years of relevant professional experience – ideally with a focus on transfer pricing or international VAT (especially in the field of electronically supplied services) at a larger consulting firm. You have also worked in an industrial company – experience in the software industry is a real advantage
- You have in-depth knowledge of international VAT, withholding tax, permanent establishments, and transfer pricing methods – and practical experience supporting tax audits. If you also bring experience in tax accounting or financial reporting, even better
- You work in a structured, self-driven manner with a strong commitment to quality – and it shows.
- You are comfortable collaborating with diverse stakeholders and engage with everyone as an equal – clear, respectful, and open
- You are proficient with MS Office (experience with Google Suite is a plus), and ideally familiar with ERP or reporting tools like Odoo and/or DATEV
- You communicate confidently in both German and English – written and spoken
