About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to guide our development team in building scalable, AI-powered EdTech solutions. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor developers, lead our adoption of agentic AI capabilities, and ensure delivery of high-quality applications using Node.js, React / Next.js, MySQL, and Google Cloud Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor frontend & backend developers
- Design and deliver scalable full-stack solutions
- Define and drive the technical strategy for integrating agentic AI features (e.g., AI tutoring assistants, content generation, adaptive learning workflows) into the product
- Architect and build agentic AI systems , including LLM orchestration, tool-calling, and RAG pipelines , either directly or through close oversight of the team building them
- Own cloud architecture decisions on GCP, including service selection, scalability, and cost optimization
- Guide data architecture decisions, including pipeline design and analytics/reporting needs, in collaboration with data stakeholders
- Oversee coding standards, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD
- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features
- Troubleshoot issues and drive technical improvements across the stack
Required Skills
- 7+ years in software development, 3+ years as a Tech Lead
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, React / Next.js
- Expertise in MySQL (schema design, optimization)
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems , LLM orchestration, tool/function-calling, RAG pipelines, or agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen, or equivalent) , and the ability to translate this into a product-level AI feature roadmap
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Good to Have
- Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD
- Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes
- Background in building EdTech or e-learning systems
- Exposure to BigQuery or other GCP-native data warehousing tools
