Description
- Perform on-site inspections of residential property damage.
- Assess damage resulting from:
- Water losses
- Fire and smoke losses
- Storm and wind damage
- Vehicle impacts
- Other insurance-related property losses
- Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates.
- Create scopes of work for reconstruction and restoration projects.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, insurance adjusters, vendors, and our team.
- Negotiate estimates and supplements with insurance carriers when necessary.
- Identify hidden damages and additional repair needs.
- Maintain organized project documentation, photos, notes, and reports.
- Coordinate with project managers and production staff to ensure accurate project execution.
- Assist with change orders and supplemental estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain exceptional customer service from inspection through project completion.
- Strong background in residential and/or commercial construction.
- Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and repair processes.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Experience as a Construction Estimator.
- Experience as an Insurance Adjuster.
- Experience in restoration or insurance reconstruction.
- Experience writing insurance repair estimates.
- Experience with estimating software such as:
- Xactimate (preferred)
- Symbility
- DASH
- Encircle
- Other estimating platforms
- Familiarity with insurance claims and restoration industry standards.
- Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work.
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Can think critically and solve problems in the field.
- Communicates professionally with customers, insurance representatives, and team.
