The role
The job requires maintenance technical leadership, coordinating resources from the local, regional and global organization as well as the global, category, peers and/ or 3PM teams. A key responsibility is to lead the maintenance budget as well as M&I and innovation capex. The aim is to manage maintenance cost, systems and maintenance program at the site to drive safety, productivity improvement, cost, improvement of assets lifetime, asset utilization and reliability. A critical aspect is related to a strong passion for technical excellence and a continuous improvement approach. On top of this, it is also requested to develop people to drive team’s performance. Strategically, engineering manager influences peers and stakeholders to drive the business agenda through technical solutions
What you'll be responsible for
• Identify, develop, and implement creative and practical solutions to complex technical and operational problems.
• Promote and enable
• the rapid sharing and adoption of best practices across the site and the wider engineering community.
• Drive and sustain equipment reliability and asset performance through proactive improvement initiatives.
• Apply an outside-in mindset, leveraging external benchmarks, technologies, and ideas to improve internal processes.
• Encourage experimentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within cross-functional teams.
• Effectively balance multiple priorities and competing demands while maintaining focus on business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with engineering teams, key stakeholders, and internal customers.
Provide and stimulate creative solutions to technical problems, rapid transfer of best practices, and drive equipment reliability embracing outside-in mentality and willingness to experiment and collaborate having the to balance a variety of priorities while maintaining healthy relationships across the engineering team, key stakeholders and customers.
We're looking for someone who
• Engineering Master’s Degree. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 – 15 years of professional experience in Maintenance Management and organizational management areas in FMCG/ related industry
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a people and maintenance management role (amount of experience needed depends on site size/ complexity)
• Minimum 5 -8 years manufacturing experience.
• Professional engineering skills
• Maintenance Systems and Maintenance Management expertise
• Budget management skills
• Understands and implements continuous improvement to drive performance for loss management.

• Skills: Leadership, Communication, Persuasion, Project Management, Analytical/ Systems Thinking
• Attained Professional Engineer Status (Or member of professional institution)
• Knowledge of facilities systems
• Implementation of Maintenance Management systems (CMMS)
• Structured work and thinking
• Self-motivating with high problem-solving focus
