CNC Mill Machinist | Davisburg, MI

Pay: $29.00–$35.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Impulse is hiring an experienced CNC Mill Machinist in Davisburg, MI for a company that designs and builds custom automation equipment and conveyor systems.

This is a strong opportunity for a machinist who wants more than basic machine operation. You’ll handle full setups, program edits, troubleshooting, and precision machining while working with custom parts that support larger automation builds.

If you are confident working independently at the machine and enjoy solving machining problems, this role offers the chance to put that experience to work in a hands-on environment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate Haas CNC milling machines

• Perform tooling setup, work offsets, and fixture alignment

• Load, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code

• Work with Fanuc controls to run programs and make adjustments

• Make real-time edits to feeds, speeds, toolpaths, and machine functions

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T

• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Hold tight tolerances and complete in-process quality checks

• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues independently

• Support production of components used in custom automation and conveyor systems

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of CNC milling experience

• Hands-on experience with Haas CNC mills

• Proficiency with Fanuc controls

• Experience using Mastercam

• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code, including editing and troubleshooting

• Ability to perform full machine setups, offsets, and program edits

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision

Preferred Experience

• At-the-machine programming experience

• Experience improving existing programs, tooling strategies, feeds, or speeds
