Position Summary
The Engineering Services Manager leads a highly adaptable engineering team designed to scale with business priorities, budget, and resource availability. This leader is responsible for delivering hardware development projects while optimizing engineering capacity through a combination of internal talent and strategic third-party partners. This position also manages external engineering service providers and contract development partners to supplement internal capabilities and accelerate project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Delivery
- Lead the execution of small- and medium-sized hardware development and/or VAVE projects from concept through production release, delivering predictable results for cost, schedule, quality, and performance
- Provide engineering leadership across multiple concurrent projects by applying standardized development processes, governance, metrics, and Ralliant Business System (RBS) principles
- Develop and manage a flexible engineering delivery model that optimizes internal talent, strategic technology partners, and OEM/ODM partners to align engineering capacity with changing business priorities, budgets, and product roadmaps
- Manage third-party engineering relationships while ensuring high-quality deliverables, protection of intellectual property, and compliance with engineering standards
- Continuously evaluate engineering capacity, resource allocation, and project priorities to maximize business value, organizational agility, and execution efficiency
Contractor and Third-Party Management
- Select, onboard, and manage third-party engineering contractors and development partners
- Support process development and compliance for development of product requirements, technical deliverables, schedules, budgets, and performance expectations
- Monitor contractor performance, quality, and execution against agreed objectives
- Build long-term strategic relationships with third party partners to create scalable engineering capacity
Cross-Functional Engineering Leadership
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineering individual contributors and people leaders across hardware-related disciplines
- Remove execution barriers and facilitate effective communication across functions
- Support technical decision-making while empowering engineers to own project execution
- Establish PCB layout priorities aligned with overall product development schedules
- Establish clear performance expectations and support career development for team members
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture
- Lead enterprise-wide product development strategy, creating scalable frameworks and governance that drive innovation, efficiency, and growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Demonstrated success delivering hardware products from concept through production
- At least 2 years leading multi-disciplined teams
- Strong project management and resource planning skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- International and domestic travel required up to 25% of the time

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 130200.00-241800.00
