Driven by a people-first philosophy, our CEO maintains an open-door culture-even sharing her direct cell phone number with staff-to foster a supportive, family-like environment where employees thrive. Backed by a leadership team with over 25 years of global operational experience, Leo Tech, LLC has operated as a Prime Contractor on more than 25 contracts, consistently meeting dynamic mission requirements with speed and precision.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will diagnose, overhaul, and maintain a broad fleet of heavy industrial and power equipment, including bulldozers, cranes, excavators, graders, compressors, and pneumatic machinery.
For troubleshooting and diagnostics, you will operate and evaluate machinery to pinpoint mechanical failures while using precision instruments like micrometers and gauges to check for structural wear or damage. Your overhaul and assembly duties require you to take apart and reconstruct complex machinery using industrial hoists and specialized hand tools, as well as replace failed engines and major subassemblies such as transmissions. Structural repair responsibilities include welding fractured components and structural framework to ensure equipment integrity. You will also handle quality testing by running comprehensive operational tests on newly overhauled machinery to guarantee peak efficiency. Finally, team coordination requires you to lead and direct support staff assigned to clean parts or assist with equipment assembly.
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid civilian driver's license. You need a minimum of 3 years of experience working in automotive or heavy equipment repair, specializing in gasoline or diesel engines. This must include hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic/air, powertrain, steering, suspension, braking, and HVAC systems. You must possess a proven ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions from technical manuals, blueprints, wiring schematics, illustrations, and engineering diagrams to complete repairs and equipment modifications. Proficiency in operating and interpreting readings from specialized diagnostic tools, such as engine analyzers, dynamometers, exhaust analyzers, and electrical meters, is required. Physically, you must be capable of lifting 50 pounds or more on a regular basis, routinely lift objects weighing 20 to 60 pounds manually, occasionally lift up to 75 pounds solo, and handle loads exceeding 100 pounds with assistance or mechanical lifting devices.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Ideal candidates will have active Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications and prior experience with military or commercial electronics. The ability to pass certification and safely operate a small utility forklift is also preferred.
