We're partnering with one of Australia's leading retail and ecommerce businesses as they continue investing in the evolution of their digital product organisation. As the business expands beyond traditional retail into Marketplace, AI-powered shopping and new omnichannel experiences, they're reimagining how customers discover, purchase and receive products.

As Product Manager for Checkout experiences , you'll own the end-to-end purchasing journey from Add to Cart through to Order Confirmation, ensuring customers can complete purchases quickly, seamlessly and with as little friction as possible. Working across web, app and emerging commerce experiences, you'll help shape the next evolution of the purchasing journey while delivering measurable improvements in customer experience, conversion and commercial performance. This remit spans far beyond payments, sitting at the intersection of customer experience, platform capability and business growth.

The role

You'll be responsible for:

• Defining the product strategy and roadmap across Cart, Checkout, Payments and the broader purchasing journey.

• Simplifying increasingly complex customer journeys created through Marketplace, multiple fulfilment options, promotions and evolving commerce experiences.

• Identifying customer pain points and using experimentation, analytics and customer insights to improve conversion and reduce checkout abandonment.

• Delivering new checkout capabilities including payment enhancements, one-click purchasing, partial checkout and future commerce experiences.

• Partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Architecture and Commercial teams to deliver scalable customer-facing products.

• Supporting major business transformation initiatives, including fulfilment modernisation and future omnichannel shopping experiences.

• Working alongside BIG W's emerging AI and Agentic Commerce initiatives, ensuring next-generation shopping experiences seamlessly transition into purchase and payment.

What we're looking for

You'll bring experience with:

• Product Management within ecommerce, retail, marketplaces or consumer digital products.

• Owning customer-facing commerce experiences such as Checkout, Cart, Payments, Purchase Journey or Conversion Optimisation.

• Building products across web and mobile customer experiences rather than back-office or in-store operational systems.

• Using product analytics, customer research, experimentation and A/B testing to inform product decisions.

• Working closely with Engineering, Design and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver complex digital products.

• Balancing customer experience, technical constraints and commercial outcomes to make confident product decisions.

• Thriving in fast-moving environments where multiple teams, dependencies and priorities come together to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
