Partnering closely with the Business Platform CIO Enterprise Technology, this role will lead transformation initiatives and implement a robust operating model that ensures high quality, secure, and compliant platform services.
Job Description:
Key Accountabilities
Core Objectives
- Drive Technical Innovation: Identify and implement emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies (eg. Agile, Cloud, AI) to improve business efficiency
- Establish Best Practice Standards: Define best practices, engineering techniques, and standardized processes for technical teams to ensure consistency as a foundation for scalable AI.
- Enable Governance: Ensure technical solutions are consistent, secure, and compliant with enterprise policies.
- Mentor and Train: Build capability across the organization by developing training programs and upskilling talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy and Leadership: Create and lead a CoE and shared services organisation that aligns with organizational goals, serving as a thought leader and advisor to senior leadership.
- Direct Team Management: Lead the 50+ shared services team across Environment & Release Management, Testing, Data migration, Service transition & Service Assurance governance. Lead the Marketing & Comms (Unily) platform team end to end SDLC.
- Indirect CoE Team Management (150+): In partnership with the vertical platform directors, drive cross platform continuous improvement initiatives across architecture, solutioning, configuration, integrations and service assurance.
- Sustain a high performing offshore team: Foster a culture of client centricity, collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement. Partner with HR to ensure a future‑ready CoE through robust employee engagement, talent pipelines, leadership development, and effective retention programs.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and improve technical processes using data-driven insights.
- Best Practice Documentation: Curate and maintain a standardised repository of documentation, templates, and best practices to act as a single source of truth and enable a foundation for scalable AI and automation.
- Metric Tracking: Implement frameworks like DORA or SPACE to quantify engineering maturity and ROI.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance for technical implementations and conduct audits to ensure adherence to standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Platform and Business teams to ensure CoE initiatives drive business value.
- Location management: In partnership with HR and Finance Services, manage the operational logistics for the centre including event coordination, risk management, budget oversight & HR policy standards.
- Cost base optimisation: Continually drive down cost to serve by utilising AI & automation, maintaining competitive offshore cost structures, & managing resource utilisation including strategies for in housing and outsourcing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years in technical leadership roles, with 7+ years in a commensurate director level role(s) in multinational organisations managing or building a large scale CoE or global delivery centre
- Exposure to multiple functional domains (CRM, RPM, HCM, Finance) advantageous given the strong intersection with dentsu lead to cash global platforms such as MS Dynamics 365, Workday, Salesforce, Adobe Workfront, Concur, Blackline etc
- Strong understanding of AI, automation, analytics, cloud, and platform engineering

- Proven experience in establishing and leading high‑performance engineering and delivery organisations at scale.
- Strong background in delivering a large mixed portfolio of ERP‑centric projects and transformation programs.
- Ability to inspire, coach, and build future leaders within the offshore teams
- Experience in AI driven automation and modern engineering practices (e.g., DevOps, platform engineering).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex constraints, risks, and challenges in global deployments.
- Strong leadership with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across global teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in driving standardisation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Ability to own and optimise significant operational budgets.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to operate in fast-paced, matrixed global organisations.
- Experience managing vendors, offshore/nearshore teams, and multi-year transformation programs.
- Proven track record of delivering on commitments with accountability and transparency.
