Job Summary:
As part of our marketing team, the Marketing Communications Coordinator will use creative and strategic thinking to perform various time-sensitive tasks, including market research, data analysis, product promotion, and design for multiple media types. A successful Marketing Communications Coordinator should have initiative, enjoy managing processes from beginning to end, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position will require essential skills in writing, editing, design, campaign planning and promotion, product management, and responsibility for the company’s online marketing efforts and social media presence.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Manage the organization's social media presence by developing content calendars, creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to inquiries, and maintaining a consistent brand voice across platforms.
- Apply platform-specific knowledge of content requirements, audience behavior, and algorithms to tailor social media content and strategies for each channel.
- Engage with audiences across digital platforms and coordinate with internal departments to address inquiries and maintain a positive brand image.
- Assist in the planning, design, production, and distribution of marketing and communications materials across multiple channels.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and audience engagement activities to promote products and services, support customer acquisition and retention, and increase brand awareness.
- Assist in the development, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns, promotional initiatives, and advertising efforts, using performance data to guide strategic decisions, identify best practices, and make informed recommendations.
- Set up, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns in Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, including audience targeting, budgeting, performance monitoring, and reporting.
- Create, edit, proofread, and publish brand-consistent written content for social media, websites, digital communications, print publications, and other marketing channels.
- Design and produce professional marketing materials, including graphics, advertisements, brochures, newsletters, and other promotional assets.
- Plan, capture, edit, and distribute photography and video for marketing campaigns, social media, and company communications.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing and social media performance metrics; provide recommendations and make adjustments as needed to improve audience engagement, campaign effectiveness, and return on investment.
- Attend trade shows, community events, and other outreach activities to support company marketing efforts.
- Research emerging marketing trends, digital platforms, communication tools, and media formats to enhance marketing effectiveness.
- Actively contribute to the company website by creating and updating landing pages, publishing approved content, and ensuring information remains accurate and current.
- Optimize website and marketing content for both traditional and AI-powered search, and adapt content between the website, social media, and other marketing channels to support each platform and audience.
- Develop blog article ideas based on customer questions, social media conversations, audience interests, and emerging topics.
- Assist with drafting, editing, and proofreading other public relations content as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular and timely attendance.
- Perform other duties/special projects as required.
- Provide cross-departmental support by participating on behalf of the company in community and company-sponsored activities as needed.
- Attend safety meetings, complete safety & security trainings, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Actively maintain and enhance job-related knowledge and skills through ongoing professional learning and development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or 5 years of experience in related field, or equivalent work experience in marketing or communications with strong knowledge of modern marketing strategies.
- Strong writing, statistical, and analytical skills are preferred.
- Certifications, training, or coursework in content marketing, social media marketing, digital advertising, or analytics (e.g., Google Ads Certification, Meta Social Media Marketing, HubSpot Content Marketing, Google Analytics).
- Demonstrated experience applying these certifications or trainings in a professional or academic setting to develop, execute, and analyze marketing strategies or campaigns.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, content strategy, audience engagement practices, platform analytics, paid digital advertising, and emerging social media trends.
- Skilled in social media management, community engagement, reputation management, and customer interaction through digital channels.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment when responding to public comments, inquiries, and reputation-related issues.
- Skilled in monitoring, interpreting, and reporting marketing, advertising, and social media performance metrics, and using data to make actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of market research techniques, audience analysis, and competitive positioning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, web content management tools, photography, and video production, with the ability to develop visually compelling marketing materials.
- Skilled in creating, editing, proofreading, and distributing high-quality marketing and communications content across multiple platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar, copywriting, proofreading, and Associated Press (AP) Style writing.
- Knowledge of marketing, communications, branding, and public relations principles.
- Ability to engage effectively with customers, colleagues, business partners, and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to develop creative and innovative approaches to promote company products, services, and initiatives.
- Proficient in using AI tools to support content creation, copywriting, research, image and video development, content repurposing, trend identification and social media analytics.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy, quality, originality, and alignment with company’s brand, and to stay current on emerging AI capabilities that can enhance marketing effectiveness.
