Sourcing Manager
Position Summary
You will report into the Global Category Manager responsible for Insecticide. Front and center of your everyday FMC will require you to display your commitment to our six core values: Integrity, Safety, Sustainability, Respect for People, Agility and Customer Centricity. Using FMC’s core values as a launching pad to achieve outstanding results in a demanding day to day schedule.
As the Sourcing Manager, you will work within FMC’s Global Procurement Group as a key member of the Active Ingredient team. You will be responsible for performing category management activities including, but not limited to, sourcing strategy development, business allocations, stakeholder management, contract lifecycle management, supplier relationship and performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement. As the ideal candidate you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment along with other bright and motivated individuals.

The Role (daily responsibilities)
We are seeking a candidate that can hit the ground running and make a visible impact within a short period of time. You can anticipate the following key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with functional leads to build subcategory strategies, based on a thorough understanding of FMC’s business conditions
- Complete end to end value chain review and identify areas of change for the products in scope in order to drive implementation of a competitive and resilient supply network
- Understand, model and conduct cost-analysis activities (Total Cost of Ownership) in partnership with finance, Operation and Technical to identify saving opportunities.
- Develop Market Intelligence to inform the best set of actions to manage pressures from the market
- Develop and execute subcategory sourcing strategies (e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQ, scorecard and bid analysis, etc.)
- Negotiate supplier contracts utilizing FMC contract templates and procedures
- Manage timely and cost-effective resolution of contractual variations with stakeholders and suppliers
- Integrate best practices and modernized business processes across FMC, ensuring best use of tools, techniques and processes
- Actively mitigates risks associated with single-source suppliers, ensuring contingency planning and alternative sourcing strategies are in place to protect FMC against supply disruptions.
- Develop and proactively manage supplier relationships and supplier performance.
The Candidate (requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement in a multinational environment (preferably chemical, agrochemical, agriculture or pharmaceutical industries.)
- Strategic sourcing proficiency
- Ability to articulate subcategory strategies following a clear methodology and thought process
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, a proven influencer.

Key Skills & Experience
Must have requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably within the chemical, agrochemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong understanding of raw materials and supply chain management.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones to collaborate with global teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically required.
