Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include executing LOB or ECF processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation, and building out actions plans and milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and manage the day-to-day execution of the CFO Risk Data Aggregation (“RDA”) program
- Develop and maintain program governance structures, operating routines, execution plans, milestones, and reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor program health, risks, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful execution against strategic objectives.
- Drive consistency and alignment across CFO organizations participating in the RDA program.
- Lead centralized governance for the CFO RDA Program, including governance forums, policies, standards, controls, and training routines.
- Serve as the central escalation point for RDA-related risks, issues, concerns, and remediation activities across the CFO organization.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise policies, standards, and regulatory expectations related to risk data aggregation and reporting.
- Represent CFO Lines of Business in enterprise Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) routines.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across Risk, Treasury, CFO Data Management, Global Financial Controls, GBAM Finance, and other key stakeholder groups.
- Influence, challenge, and collaborate with senior leaders to drive alignment and execution of program objectives.
- Facilitate discussions and resolve complex issues involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Lead engagement and preparedness activities for RDA Quality Assurance reviews. Track and report on testing outcomes, issue resolution, and risk mitigation activities.
- Develop executive-level reporting and metrics to support decision-making and program oversight.
- Promote adoption of best practices across governance, risk management, and data management disciplines.
- Leads the assessment of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards
- Performs monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation
- Leads the implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts
- Manages the performance and productivity of team members that conduct quality inspection reviews
- Ensures timely execution of QA activities including control execution, case management, and results reporting
- Manages and reviews all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews
- Ensures accuracy of data and that relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance for dashboard reporting
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in financial services, finance, risk management, data management, governance, regulatory programs, controls, or related functions
- 5+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs or strategic initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing governance frameworks, operating models, controls, and oversight programs
- Experience managing executive-level stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes across organizational boundaries
- Experience coordinating testing, audit, quality assurance, or issue management activities
- Strong understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, governance, and control environments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional verbal, written, and executive communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, highly matrixed environment
- Self-starter seeks to build relationship and collaborate with teammates
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment to achieve stated objectives
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (particularly MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s or equivalent)
- Experience supporting Finance, CFO, Risk, Treasury, Data Management, or Regulatory programs within a large financial institution
- Knowledge of BCBS 239 principles, Risk Data Aggregation, Data Governance, Data Quality, and Risk Reporting frameworks
- Experience presenting to executive leadership teams, governance committees, audit partners, and regulators
- Knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, data governance practices, and control environments
- Strategic thinker with the ability to understand complex business challenges and potential solutions
- Experience in providing thought leadership and ability to lead without direct authority
- Demonstrated experience with M365 CoPilot applications
