The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in rubber compounding, chemical analysis, physical/mechanical testing, management and consulting in various segments of the rubber industry. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment interacting with customers on the phone, in-person and via email.

Duties & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in rubber compounding, chemical analysis, physical/mechanical testing, management and consulting in various segments of the rubber industry. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment interacting with customers on the phone, in-person and via email.
- Bachelor’s degree, required; candidates with degrees in engineering (Chemical, Materials, and/or Polymer, preferred) and candidates with related science concentrations (Chemistry and/or Physics) will also be considered. At least three years of relevant experience in Formulations and compounding environment; candidates with co-op/internship experience and/or experience in the rubber/Plastics industry preferred.
- Developing, maintaining, analyzing Chemical Compound formulations and properties as well as chemical interactions.
- Reducing overall material cost and waste through formulation and process improvements
- Writing manufacturing specifications for compounds, materials, and mixing instructions
- Providing technical support to the Quality organization and to various customers to ensure their product performance requirements are met
