The Foundation manages all common areas, including two beach facilities and two private beachfront restaurants, two tennis facilities, two boardwalks, the Fitness Center and Wellness Studio, the Community Center, and approximately 90 acres of land.
Overall Responsibilities
This position requires a dynamic and service-driven person to serve as the lead for executing meeting setups and operational support of the Pelican Bay Community Center. This full-time position is responsible for performing a broad range of operational and event coordination functions that ensure the Community Center runs efficiently and delivers an exceptional experience to every member who walks through the door.
The Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall coordination, execution, and quality assurance of meeting room configurations, facility maintenance, public area upkeep, and hospitality support services throughout the organization. This role requires a highly detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering a clean, organized, and fully operational environment for all guests, staff, and stakeholders on a consistent basis. The Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician serves as a primary point of coordination between departments, ensuring that all room setups, housekeeping functions, maintenance tasks, and supply management activities are carried out efficiently, reliably, and in accordance with established organizational and regulatory standards.
This position demands a strong work ethic, physical stamina, excellent time management, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities throughout each shift. The Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician is expected to demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of facility operations.

Schedule: Mon-Fri; some nights, weekends and holidays may be required

Description of Duties Performed
- Set up and break down all meeting and conference rooms according to requested layouts in a timely manner to accommodate scheduling changes and last-minute requests.
- Inspect and clean each assigned room before every meeting or event, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and supplies are in order before approving the space as event-ready.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of all public and administrative areas throughout each shift, promptly addressing any cleaning or tidying needs to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
- Maintain, clean, and restock all coffee machines and beverage equipment daily and weekly, reporting any malfunctions or supply shortages to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
- Oversee all facility linen needs, including collection, inventory, and laundering coordination, ensuring clean, pressed, and properly stored linens are consistently available to support all events and daily operations.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely fulfillment of all operational supplies by proactively monitoring inventory levels and submitting requests in advance to prevent shortages or service interruptions.
- Keep the facility kitchen clean, organized, and fully compliant with all applicable state health and sanitation standards, including proper waste disposal and removal of expired products.
- Perform routine facility maintenance tasks — including cleaning AC vents, fan blades, windows, walls, floors, and baseboards — and coordinate the timely replacement of burned-out bulbs and fixtures to keep the facility in excellent condition.
- Provide professional, cooperative support to other departments — including food and beverage, event coordination, and administrative services — as operational needs arise.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, approaching all tasks with professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to the highest standards of service and facility excellence.
