We are seeking a commercially focused and people-centred Business Manager to lead our Mackay region.
You will be responsible for delivering business strategy, sales performance and operational excellence across your allocated branch network. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can develop capable teams, build strong customer relationships and use market insight to identify growth opportunities.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of sales strategies, business initiatives and financial targets.
- Manage business performance within agreed expense and approval parameters.
- Lead, coach and develop branch and sales team members, supporting performance, career development and succession planning.
- Develop and coordinate branch sales and operational strategies across the region.
- Directly manage the external sales team and foster a customer-focused, high-performing culture.
- Analyse performance data to identify strengths, improvement opportunities and actions to achieve targets.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, customer needs and supplier opportunities.
- Contribute to business cases and support the development of product ranges suited to the local market.
- Champion safe work practices, company standards and an inclusive, respectful workplace.
What you’ll bring
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in a similar business, branch, sales or operations leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in sales management, branch operations and strategy execution.
- The ability to develop and implement customer and market business plans.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of industrial products and services, particularly hydraulic hoses, fittings and pneumatic systems, will be highly regarded.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel when required.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
