Chatswood NSW 2067 | 1:1 Support | Active Night Shifts
5:45 pm – 6:30 am
Your responsibilities may include:
- Oral suctioning.
- PEG feeding and enteral nutrition support.
- Administration of medication via PEG in accordance with the participant's medication plan.
- Seizure monitoring and management.
- Following seizure and emergency management plans.
- Cough assist.
- Nebuliser support.
- Chest physiotherapy.
- Positioning and regular repositioning.
- Personal care and comfort support.
- Monitoring respiratory status and general wellbeing.
- Recognising and escalating changes in the participant's condition.
- Maintaining accurate support documentation and progress notes.
- Following clinical care plans and established protocols.
- Working collaboratively with the participant's family and clinical team.
- Recognising signs of deterioration or seizure activity.
- Responding promptly to changes in the participant's condition.
- Accessing and administering authorised emergency medication where required and in accordance with the participant's medication plan.
- Contacting 000 when clinically indicated.
- Communicating clear and accurate information to emergency services.
- Having relevant equipment, medication and information ready for emergency responders.
- Maintaining the safety of the participant and others while awaiting assistance.
- Calm and confident under pressure.
- Highly observant and attentive.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Patient, respectful and compassionate.
- Experienced with complex disability supports.
- Comfortable working active overnight shifts.
- Able to follow detailed clinical and emergency management plans.
- Able to recognise when a situation requires escalation.
- Confident working independently and using appropriate initiative.
- Comfortable working closely with family members.
- Committed to providing consistent and safe 1:1 support.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Previous experience providing complex or high-intensity disability support.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Australian working rights.
- ABN or willingness to obtain one.
- Consistent 1:1 participant support.
- Regular active night shifts.
