At Cloudflight, you'll lead a team of talented cloud and infrastructure specialists, driving the technical strategy and building the organizational foundation that enables over 800 brilliant minds to deliver scalable, value-driven solutions to clients across industries.
Your daily tasks will include
leading, developing, and inspiring a team of cloud and infrastructure specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous growth while acting as a role model for your people leaders
defining and driving the cloud and infrastructure strategy and technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and contributing to innovation initiatives in close collaboration with the CTO organization
overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring reliability, compliance, and performance across environment
managing capacities, skill mix, and utilization by identifying gaps, initiating hiring decisions in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, and ensuring specialists are staffed to project demands in a timely and skill-appropriate manner
contributing to budget planning, including headcount projections, compensation, and skill development investments, while monitoring delivery KPIs and driving corrective actions together with the VP Group Delivery
collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Presales, Delivery, and People & Culture to align on planning activities, support presales engagements, and facilitate two-way communication between leadership and the team
The following will make you succeed in this role
minimum 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, consulting, or a related field, including at least 5 years in a people leadership role with demonstrated experience in leading managers and building high-performing organizations
deep technical expertise in cloud and infrastructure, including hands-on experience with platforms like Azure, AWS or GCP, as well as open source and cloud native technologies like OpenShift, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Linux & Containers (e.g. Ubuntu, CentOs, Docker), Gitlab, Teamcity, SonarQube, Artifactory, Kafka, ActiveMQ
proven track record in workforce planning, capacity management, and resource allocation across multiple teams or locations, with the ability to align staffing decisions with business priorities and client demands
strong understanding of utilization, billability, compensation structures, and cost management, combined with experience contributing to budget planning and using workforce KPIs to drive data-informed decision
demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders through regular feedback, performance management, and succession planning, while building resilient and scalable team organizations
excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience collaborating across cross-functional stakeholders such as Sales, Delivery, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and executive leadership, and the ability to represent the stream in strategic discussions
fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
Austria: The law stipulates that the minimum wage must be specified in job postings. The minimum salary is €64.554 gross/year in the collective agreement. Adequate to your skills, we are willing to pay much more.
