Key Responsibilities
Organizational / Mid-Executive Accountabilities
Design and sustain a robust cloud governance framework, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and decision-making authority across the organization.
Drive accountability and operational excellence across all cloud functions and teams ensuring adherence to best practices and strategic objectives.
Lead governance discussions at steering committees and executive forums, shaping policy, prioritization, and enterprise-wide cloud initiatives.
Deliver actionable insights on strategy, performance and compliance to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
Align cloud initiatives with enterprise strategy and risk appetite ensuring that technology investments advance business goals while maintaining governance rigor.
Oversee P&L for cloud operations ensuring financial discipline and strategic investment decisions.
Lead applicable partner cloud contract negotiations, procurement, and vendor agreements ensuring alignment with governance and risk standards.
Cloud Financials, Governance Operations, and Business Ecosystem Coverage
Drive enterprise-wide cloud and infrastructure financial strategy, aligning budgeting, forecasting, and cost management with business objectives to maximize ROI and operational efficiency.
Establish and champion governance frameworks that optimize cloud and on-premises utilization across internal and partner ecosystems ensuring compliance, accountability, and strategic alignment.
Lead data-driven spend optimization and resource allocation initiatives, leveraging real-time insights to inform executive decision-making and enhance a cost-aware organizational performance for Cloud spend.
Partner with finance, engineering, and business leadership to deliver transparent, actionable insights that drive strategic growth, operational efficiency, and sustainable cloud adoption.
Anticipate emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and technology innovations to guide governance initiatives.
Reinforces capacity planning and governance frameworks for various cloud-hosted workloads by ensuring optimal ops for managing fleet capacity as a whole (scalable, stable and sustainable)
IT Controls, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) and Enablement
Heads and implements enterprise-grade cloud IT controls, risk management practices, and compliance frameworks.
Partner with internal audit and risk teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
Oversee cloud security, risk assessments, and incident response protocols.
Owns and co-sponsors enterprise-wide cloud governance training and enablement initiatives that allows fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and strategic thinking in cloud practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, or related field. Top-tier certification for Cloud would be a requirement for the role.
12+ years of experience, including substantial experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry (BFSI).
Proven expertise in Cloud strategy, Financial Operations (FinOps), IT controls, Emerging Technologies, Cloud Architecture and Regulatory compliance within BFSI.
Strong leadership experience with cross-functional executive-level stakeholder management.
Demonstrated success managing P&L, contracts, and strategic partnerships in cloud environments.
Strong background for leading people and delivering Change Management and IT Transformation Programs within a highly agile environment
Has a very good business-acumen and ability to conduct story telling across.
Has significant exposure in Microservices and/or container solutions/technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
